Inspiration Given by SHCC Musical Summer Camp

Inspiration. A simple yet delicate word that describes what Singing Hearts Children's Choir(SHCC) brings to me, family, friends, and beyond. During the period of July 2013, I have been privileged to join SHCC in their 3 week summer camp through the process of auditions, rehearsals, and final production of a show. But not only does the term train young ones to become a better performer, it encourages them to learn various aspects of an individual.Through various sets of games, SHCC builds a brick of ‘fun’ into the process. Through the guidance and support of teachers, SHCC builds a brick of ‘confidence’. Through the strong headed mindset to make a performance spectacular, SHCC builds a brick of ‘determination’. Through love and joy of sharing music and arts with the children, SHCC builds a brick of ‘uniqueness’. With these stacks of bricks, the choir begins to construct a beautiful house that allows children to grow through the beauty of sound. Not only do the children evolve, but all those involved in this experience, including myself, evolve with them.
I have learned that a working environment could be so friendly and genuine, a second family rather. I have learned that with passion and the commitment to a vision, anything can become possible. I have learned that if there’s a boulder blocking your path to your destination, a little altering into your previous plans can allow the continuing journey into a magnificent one.
The attitude, the mission, and the belief of Singing Hearts Children's Choir is truly an inspiration that has been able to touch my heart. An inspiration that will guide not only the children to a greater future, but people of all ages.An inspiration that will take people beyond their comfort zone into a world of exploration and wonders.An inspiration that will ignite fires into the dreams and ideas of any individual to push them further.An inspiration that can only be molded by the soul and love of Singing Hearts Children's Choir.
