The Singing Hearts Children's Choir’s first semester end-of-term performance concluded on a high note at the Experimental Mini Theatre. Under the stage lights, the children’s pure voices blended with beautiful melodies, and the show brimmed with their sincerity and energy—no fancy professional stage sets needed.

  The show featured three wonderful segments. Opening the performance, the Creative Department presented a nursery rhyme medley. Members hopped onto the stage, singing classic nursery rhymes with clear, sweet voices and playful choreography, and their delightful acts earned rounds of applause.

  Schubert Class 2 stood out as a highlight. New to choral music, the children sang with soft yet earnest harmonies to express the beauty of music, and even bravely added lively dance moves to their ways to express themselves on stage.

  Classes 1A and 1B of the Musical Theater Department stepped into the roles of fable characters, articulate delivery and heartfelt singing that let the audience experience the unique magic of musical theatre.

  Musical Theatre Class 2 performed excerpts from classic Broadway musicals; the children sang and danced in time with the rhythm, capturing the spirit of the classics. A touch of nervousness showed on stage, yet they looked out for one another and worked together seamlessly, truly bringing their daily rehearsal efforts to life. Their dedication moved everyone in the audience.

  Every wonderful moment of the performance came from the children’s diligent rehearsals, the professional guidance of their teachers and the loving support of their parents. The first semester has come to a lovely close. May the children of the Shanghai Singing Hearts Children's Choir keep their love for music alive, go on to shine on more stages in the future and continue to share their beautiful voices/music with the world.
