February 14th, 2009. Valentine’s Day, a day full of love. The Singing Hearts Choir made a special trip to the QingPu District’s ZhongFu Senior Center for a visit and performance The children’s sweet voices, heartfelt smiles and colorful performances brought the senior citizens unsurpassable joy. For this event, the members of the Singing Hearts Choir hand made Valentine’s cards for each of the attendees to express their warmest wishes. The Senior Center then honored each child with a Valentine’s award, to encourage them to continue on their path of helping others.
All of the children expressed that this performance was unforgettable and especially meaningful because they were able to bring such joy to others while doing something they love. They hoped that in the future there would be more of these kinds of events. |
