From July 5-12, 2009, SHCC held the Happy Children¡¯s Summer Music Camp.

The Summer Camp was rich & meaningful; with innovative choir courses, lead by international children¡¯s choir conductors, such as Ms Xiong Shiling. All of the children were able to improve their choral skills. The children were given their first contact with musical dramas during the performance rehearsals increasing their interest in them. They also gained more life experiences as a group as well as individuals.

For some of the younger group members, it was their first time being away from their parents. This summer¡¯s camp experience not only provided them with a wealth of new music knowledge and artistic training, but also strengthened their powers of self-reliance. Most commendable of all was, under the tutelage of their instructors, the children learned to help each other and encourage each other, which reflected in their team spirit and has given them the most precious gift of friendship.

At the Summer Camp¡¯s final performance, the children¡¯s colorful performances were met with wild applause and praise by parents and honored guests. This was the greatest reciprocation for their unfailing diligence during the week long camp.
