Since launching the concert series in 2012, Shanghai Singing Hearts Children¡¯s Choir has been performing with Shanghai Women Journalists¡¯ Choir to bring people who care about charity work together in support of the ¡°Special Love: Seed of Arts Education¡± Initiative. The initiative aims to foster cultural exchange through music, to promote the preservation of excellent ethnic traditions, and to advance the sustainability of music education.

  Both choirs presented a wonderful array of programs. Singing Hearts sowed seeds of joy with a lovely nursery rhyme, foreign classic children¡¯s choral works, and a medley of musical theatre numbers. When the over 200 performers onstage sang a sonorous ¡°My People, My Country¡± in unison to close the evening, the audience joined in spontaneously. Emotions filled up the halls in expression of our deep attachment to the motherland on her seventieth year of life.

  The Women Journalists showed off their fine, intellectual voices with two sets of classical poetry and movie theme songs.
